Known issue
Honeywell's safety information says the seal around the alarm switch can deteriorate over time. If the seal interferes with the switch, pulling the station may not transmit the intended alarm signal.

Honeywell strongly recommends replacing affected BG-10 series pull stations with the appropriate BG-12 series replacement. Treat this as a manufacturer safety advisory and replacement recommendation, not as a blanket statement that every red pull station is recalled.
